Peru's INDECOPI report for 2019

The Peruvian National Institute for the Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI) has issued this week a report on the activities it has carried out during the year 2019.

For the third year in a row the number of trade mark registrations has raised, reaching 36 259 in 2019. The rise is particularly important for collective trade marks the number of which has increased by 316.4%.

Furthermore, 2019 also saw INDECOPI receive 1213 intellectual property infringement claims, up by 4,4% compared to the previous year.
