US to increase bilateral engagement with Argentina, Chile and Venezuela on Counterfeiting and IP

The United States publishes a yearly Special Report on the adequacy and effectiveness of trading partners on Intellectual Property protection. According to the Special Report 301 of the Office of the United States Trade Reperesentative (USTR), Argentina, Chile and Venezuela are in the Priority Watch List. This means that the US will increase bilateral engagement with these countries on piracy and counterfeiting and the protection of the IP rights.

Furthermore, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica,Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru are on the Watch List of countries where bilateral engagement will be increase for the same reason.
