Chile, Mexico and Costa Rica at the forefront of innovation in Latin America

The World Intellectual Property Organisation, in collaboration with INSEAD and Cornell University has issued the annual Global Innovation Index. This ranking, as its title suggests, rates the innovation performance of around 130 countries worldwide. This year’s report focuses on innovation in the field of medical innovation.

According to this ranking, Chile, Mexico and Costa Rica are still the top 3 performers in Latin America. The latter is actually found to be outperforming in relation to its economic development level.
